MSI has created the cheapest gaming laptop with an RTX 4050 at just ₹86,989. But the price has a few caveats. The TGP value of the RTX 4050 is a bit low so the performance might not be as much as expected. The lower TDP value is so that the laptop does not overheat after gaming for long hours.
TDP is the amount of heat dissipated by the graphics card, which also can mean how much it is performing. A high-performing graphics card will have a higher TDP. The TDP of the RTX 4050 in this laptop is just 45W which means it will provide only little performance. RTX 4050 can have a TDP of up to 140W but on this laptop it is limted to 45.
The laptop comes with Windows 11 preinstalled.
The processor in the laptop is an Intel Core i5-12450H processor. The processor is an 8-core processor (4 performance and 4 efficiency cores). This makes it great for gaming as it can handle all the decoding and other tasks required by the processor to do while gaming.
With 8GB of DDR4 RAM and 512GB of SSD storage, there is very little that is wrong with the laptop. You can always upgrade the RAM or the SSD so that the laptop can have more performance or more storage. RAM sticks are becoming cheaper nowadays and it is easy performance at very little money.

Gigabyte is not one of the prominent manufacturers of gaming laptops in India. But the laptops they offer provide great performance and value for money.
Powered by a 12th Generation Intel Core i5 12450H processor, the laptop is able to handle most of the daily tasks and is able to push the limits when it comes to gaming also. The processor can handle most, if not all of the duties a CPU performs while gaming.
The display is 15.6" FHD with a refresh rate of 144Hz. The display is 45% NTSC, which is decent for gaming laptops. Unless you are planning on image or video editing, which requires high-quality display needs, the display is more than enough.
The laptop has 16GB of RAM (2 x 8GB RAM). The graphics card is an RTX 4050 which is not surprising considering this is an article about RTX 4050 laptops. The graphics card has a TGP value of 75W. This is an okayish TGP value. We wouldn't say this laptop is terrible, but neither would we say this has got great potential.
With 512GB of storage space, the laptop is again on the okay side with storage. You can always expand the storage and SSDs are relatively cheap.
The keyboard is backlit which is a blessing, to be honest, for me, not having a backlit keyboard is a big deterrent in laptops.

The difference between the Cyborg and the Thin is the chassis. The laptop has better Chassis than the Thin.
The laptop looks more classy with the neon green backlit keyboard rather than the red keyboard which is offered by the MSI Thin laptop. The vents are better at cooling.
The laptop comes with 16GB of DDR4 RAM as opposed to the 8GB in the MSI Thin.
Overall, if you want a laptop with an RTX 4050 laptop you can go for this laptop but the lack of a great TGP value is a big deterrent. This means that the laptop will not be able to offer the performance that the original RTX 4050 provides.
