Cheapest RTX 30 series (3050, 3060, 3070) laptops in India

The latest RTX series has made its appearance on laptops and they have come to India too. But the price of products in India is generally higher than in other nations. Let's check out what's the cheapest RTX 3050 and RTX 3060 laptops in India.

One thing to keep in mind is that cheap doesn't translate to the build quality of the laptop. This is because there are sellers who are still selling laptops with a configuration of GTX 1060 Ti at 1 lakh. These are older laptops whose prices have depreciated and are no longer availble in the market and now they are still trying to sell the laptop at the price those laptops had when they were launched.

Cheapest RTX 3050 Laptops in India

The new line up of RTX 30 series graphics cards are here and let's look at the cheapest of them.  The best part about these laptops is I've found them to be a lot cheaper than when the RTX 10 and 20 series were released and I feel they are a lot more affordable than back then.

Let's talk a bit about RTX 3050 graphics cards.

RTX 3050 series graphics cards are available only on laptops and not as standalones. These graphics cars power the GeForce Gaming and Studio laptops. There are also RTX 3050 Ti graphics cards which are a slightly boosted versions of the RTX 3050 graphics cards.

These graphics cards feature the Nvidia Ampere architecture like all the other 30 series graphics cards. The 3050 series cards are the actual reason why you can get cheaper laptops with RTX features.

These graphics cards also have the Max Q technology which was featured earlier by Nvidia. Max Q is the technolody by which Nvidia laptops can have a thinner form factor than similar laptops with the same power. The reason why we see gaming laptops so bulky is the need to cool them while gaming. Max Q technology allows for cooling without the need for the bulky form factor of the laptop.

The new graphics cards also feature something called DLSS. DLSS stands for Deep Learning Super Sampling. It is a technology that helps increase graphics performance using Tensor Core AI processors on GeForce RTX GPUs. DLSS increases the frame rates of games drastically. On a laptop with 89 FPS, DLSS technology has boosted the FPS to upto 131.

The technological advancements that has come to GeForce graphics cards over the year are really mindblowing and I am looking forward to see more of these.

This is one of the most value for money laptops I have seen in ages. The laptop is powered by a 11th generation Intel Core i5 processor and has RTX 3050 graphics card and while the time of writing this article costs just a tad bit North of 85k.

While hunting for laptops to make this list, I was surprised to find one that was this cheap. The laptop looks awesome with its bezel-less display. One of the things I've noted among Asus laptops is that most of them are bezel-less.

The display of the laptop has a refresh rate of 144 Hz. The screen has a size of 15.6" which is enough for most gaming laptops. But while gaming, I've found that having a bigger display gives you more of an immersive experience. If you're interested in buying a monitor, you can check out the best gaming monitors here. The refresh rate of the laptop's display is also very high considering the price range.

The processor in the laptop is an Intel Core i5 processor. This quad core processor has the capability to multithread and gives a total of 16 threads. The processor has a maximum turbo frequency of 4.40 GHz. The frequency shows the amount of tasks the processor can do and a higher frequency does translate into faster processing speeds.

One of the things I've noted is Asus is the first manufacturer to introduce 30 series laptops in India and most of the products in this list are Asus. I've got no special love for Asus, and I own a MacBook and an Alienware. The first Asus I've seen was my friend's in college and I was surprised at its build quality. I've recommended one for my brother which he has bought and he is in love with it.

The thermal capabilities of Asus are great and it has a strudy build.

I am not going into detail about the graphics card since we have already covered it above.

The laptop features 8GB of DDR4 RAM which is enough for most of your gaming and other needs. In case the need arises, you can always upgrade the RAM in the laptop.

The storage in the laptop is 512 GB SSD. This is a tad bit small for my liking but we can make it work. Most of the games today are more than 100GB and you can fit only a couple of them here before it runs out of space.

Overall I loved this laptop and would recommend this to anyone on a budget. I'd have prefered an AMD processor in it considering AMD is making leaps in technolgical advancements in the field of processors. Would put this as a must buy.

ASUS TUF Dash F15 - RTX 3050 Ti

Processor: Core i7 11th Gen FX516PE-HN085TS

Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti
Storage: 1TB SSD
Display: 15.6-inch, FHD (1920 x 1080)

Another RTX 3050, but this seems costlier. So what's the difference you might ask. The difference is the Ti at the end of RTX 3050. The Ti version has 20% more CUDA cores. This should make the laptop better for gaming atleast theoretically. But that's not the only difference ASUS TUF Dash brings to the table. It features an i7 processor as opposed to the i5 in the previous laptop.

The i7 processor in this laptop is a 11th generation Intel Core i7-11375H. A quad core processor which supports multi threading, taking the thread count to 8. The maximum clock speed provided by the processor is 5.0 GHz which should see the laptop obliterating computationally intensive tasks such as gaming.

The processor has a 12MB smart cache which helps it to process data faster. The processor offers a marginal increase in performance as compared to an i5 processor. This is the cheapest gaming laptop with an RTX graphics card that feaetures an i7 processor. Most of the gaming laptops decide to go with AMD due to their lower prices.

The graphics card on this laptop is an RTX 3050 Ti graphics card. Here's the difference between RTX 3050 Ti graphics card and a plain old RTX 3050 graphics card.

Category RTX 3050 Ti RTX 3050
NVIDIA CUDA Cores 2560 2048
Ray Tracing Cores 20 16
Boost Clock (MHz) 1485 1500
Tensor Cores 80 64

From the above table, you can see that though there is not a massive difference, there is still performance difference between both the graphics card. The other area where this laptop and the one listed above will differ more is in the department of processor rather than with the graphics card.

The laptop features 16GB of DDR4 memory. This is twice the memory of the RTX 3050 laptop. Also the storage space is twice with a 1 TB SSD. This is the industry standard and you will be able to store all your files and valuables safely.

Overall this is a very decent laptop at this price point and if having an i7 processor is a must for you, this is one laptop that you should keep your eyes on.

Cheapest RTX 3060 laptop in India

If you want to up your gaming you need to own one of these graphics cards. Though I lean more towards RTX 3070 series, the 3060 also strikes a great balance  with cost and performance. The 3060 series offers a massive performance increase while gaming and you can play most of the games in Ultra settings.

The graphics card supports DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) AI acceleration. This helps in boosting the frame rates of the game without compromising on the image quality of the graphics card. This helps in you playing at higer frame rates without having to compromise on the quality.

Acer Nitro 5

This is the only laptop in the list that is not from Asus and we feel happy that Acer went ahead and released a laptop with an RTX 3060 graphics card. This is a laptop that is able to crush the competition thanks to its powerful processor and graphics card.

The laptop features an Interl Core i5-10300H processor. This is a processor from a previous generation but that doesn't decrease the performance at all. The processor was launched in Q2 of 2020 and features four cores. With multi threading capability the laptop has 8 threads. THe maximum turbo frequency of the laptop is 4.50GHz.

The graphics card as mentioned is an RTX 3060. You can play most of the games in High or Ultra settings without the laptop breaking much of a sweat. The thermal capabilies of the laptop is also great and helps in keeping the laptop cool even after long hours of gaming. The graphics card comes with 6GB of GDDR6 memory which increases the capabilities of the graphics card.

The display on the laptop has a refresh rate of 144Hz. This will give you an edge during gaming since the screen refreshes faster. This also prevents ghosting and other phenomenon that might hamper your gaming sessions.

Another one of the features of the laptop is DTS X Ultra. This is the surround system provided by the laptop and helps in having a spatial sound while gaming.

In terms of RAM, the laptop comes with just 8GB of RAM and I feel that it should have had been atleast 16 GB for a gaming laptop of this caliber. Also with storage, Acer has decided to go with 1TB of HDD and an 256 GB SSD. While this provides lot of storage, for someone who games a lot you will not be able to put more than two games on the SSD. The SSD will be able to massively improve your gaming experience due to the lower loading times.

Overall this is a killer laptop and is a steal at the price.

Cheapest RTX 3070 laptop in India

RTX 3070 graphics cards are perfect for gaming. They are the perfect balance between cost and performance and one of these can easily last you for more than 5 years before getting outdated. I own a GTX 1070 and I still game on it in Ultra. Assassin's Creed Valhalla I get 32 fps on average while playing on Ultra. I wouldn't complaint considering they were released in 2016. Now it's around 5 years and the only thing I am missing out is ray tracing. And once you are older, you stop gaming so, it worked out pretty well for me.

I know this is disappointing, but this is another Asus Dash F15. While I was writing this article, there were two laptops left and by the time I ended writing this and refreshed the page, those were out of stock which is a bit disappointing. But they are available in black and white colors and only black got over. Hopefully new ones come in stock in a couple of days.

Asus Dash 15 - RTX 3070

Processor: 11th Gen Intel Core i7-11370H
RAM: 16GB DDR4

Storage: 1TB SSD

This laptop is a joy to look at. I loved the Dash. It's just dashing. One of the only issues I can think of while looking at this laptop is the lack of webcam. I mean, in an age where everyone is working from home, it sucks to have a laptop without a webcam. But even if you have to buy an extra webcam, the price won't go up too much and it is still a bargain. So I would recommend you to get an extra webcam rather than looking for an alternative.

Powered by the latest generation Intel Core i7-11370H processor, this laptop is a beast of a machine. The laptop can do tasks which other laptops might find hard to do. The processor is a quad core processor with a max speed of 4.80GHz. The processor has 12MB smart cache and a base clock speed of 3.0GHz.

The laptop is powered by RTX 3070 graphics card. A card which I have grown to like so much. To be honest, I've loved all the graphics cards that ends with 70. They are the famous kids. The 3080 series and all are the bright brilliant students in a class, while anything less than the 60 are the kids that do well but nobody fancies. The 3070 series is the kids who sit in the last bench of the class, does all the stupid stuff and yet manages to surprise everyone by getting great marks.

TechRadar considers this laptop to be one of the greatest graphics cards of all time.  The card delivers power to do 4K gaming and that too rivaling the likes of RTX 2080 Ti. That is really impressive performance from a graphics card at this price.

The graphics card has Ampere architecture and comes with a ton of features. Ray tracing, being the obvious feature. It also has an AI system which helps in delivering higher frame rate at higher settings.

The display in this laptop is from some other world. It has a refresh rate of 240Hz and a response time of 3ms. This is massive for a laptop. The higher refresh rate and lower response time will give you a slight advantage in multiplayer gaming.

The laptop comes with 16GB of DDR4 RAM and 1 TB of SSD for storage and there is nothing surprising here. This is the expected standard amount.

At the time of writing this article, the laptop cost under 1.5 lakh which we feel is a real bargain.

Conclusion

These are the laptops that feature RTX 30 series graphics cards in India. I am really happy to see the prices going down for gaming laptops. While I bought a laptop with RTX 1070, the price of laptops where north of 1.5 lakhs. It's really surprising that prices has gone down in the recent days.

Hope you get to game with one of these babies soon.
