5 Best RTX 2060 Laptops in India (2021)

Every gamer's dream is to own an RTX laptop, and the RTX 2060 is the stepping stone to owning one of them. Though this graphics card lies at the bottom of the RTX food chain, it offers immense gaming power. It is able to play all of the latest titles at High settings, beating even GTX 1070, a graphics card that offered brilliant performance at its prime.

Now let's take a look at the best RTX 2060 laptops that are on offer so that we can game to our heart's content with graphics quality that is second to none. But before that what exactly is Ray Tracing? The technology people speak about so much?

If you take an animated movie, you'll see that the water in the movie will reflect the tree or the light source and the light that gets reflected. But if you take a game, all that you'll see are shadows and silhouettes and not the original tree. This is because tracing the shadow is computationally very intensive task. Nvidia has come up with a technology which can handle this in real time and has called it Ray Tracing.

In the olden days HP was not a manufacturer of gaming laptops. But everything changed for them with the development of the Omen series of laptops. These laptops were budget laptops. Extremely cheap and had a huge fan following. Then HP decided to move from budget to best and now we have a laptop that deserves the top spot on a list of laptops.

The laptop looks stunning with its sharp corners and thin bezels. The vents are placed optimally for cooling and looks great.

The laptop has a 9th generation Intel Core i7 processor at its heart. With a base speed of 2.60GHz, and a maximum turbo clock speed of 4.50GHz the performance of the laptop is dazzling. The laptop works smoothly for gaming and non gaming purposes due to the 12MB of Intel Smart Cache in the processor.

When you write an article titled, best RTX 2060 laptops, it is natural to find the laptops in the list to feature an RTX 2060 graphics card. But surprisingly, this laptop also features an RTX 2060 graphics card. You can play all of the latest titles on this laptops without the laptop breaking a sweat. You also don't have to worry about the laptop overheating after extended usage either.

Moving on to memory and storage, the laptop features 16GB of DDR4 memory. This RAM is enough for most, giving you the ability to game and open a lot of browser tabs.

The laptop has a combination of SSD and HDD to give a lot of storage space and ample performance. The laptop features a 512GB SSD for great performance. The laptop boots in around 10 seconds because of the SSD. If you install the games on the SSD, the loading time for the games will also be reduced because of the faster data transfer between the RAM and storage. Most people finds that 512GB of storage is just not enough and HP has been kind enough to give a 1 TB HDD in addition to an SSD to give a total of 1.5TB storage.

HP Omen has a gorgeous bezel less display. The display is 15.6" diagonally and is Full HD. It has a resolution of 1920x1080. The display has a refresh rate of 144Hz which is very high. The laptop weighs 2.24kg and  is portable. It offers enough ports to make sure that you can connect to most of the devices. One of the features which we love about all HP Omen laptops is the addition of Bang and Olufsen speakers. They add excellent sound quality for gaming and watching movies.

At a little under 1 lakh, this is one of the cheapest of the lot. But I love this laptop for all the right reasons. A processor that doesn't bottleneck the performance of the graphics card, a combination of SSD and HDD for ultimate performance, just enough RAM and comes in colour black.

The laptop has a 9th generation Intel Core i5-9300H processor. Now, most of the people think that having an i5 processor will drastically decrease the gaming performance or the overall performance of the laptop. But that is not the case. The gaming performance of the laptop is excellent.

The processor has a base speed of 2.4GHz and a maximum clock speed of 4.1GHz with turbo boost. It is a quad core processor and has 8 threads. The processor also has 8MB of smart cache. Cache is extremely high speed memory where data is stored temporarily before being used by the processor.

The laptop comes with 8GB of RAM which might sound a bit low, but should suffice. If you want you can upgrade the RAM anyday and 8GB more costs just around 3k and less. You can upgrade it by removing a few screws and lifting the base panel.

It has 256GB SSD and a 1TB HDD for storage. This also can be upgraded. The 256 GB SSD increases the performance. It reduces the time needed for the laptop to boot and improves gaming performance. Games installed on the SSD will load faster than those on the HDD. You can put movies and so on on the HDD.

The display is a 15.6" screen with a resolution of 1920x1080 making it Full HD. It has anti glare and a refresh rate of 144Hz. A high refresh rate screen is essential for gaming as it prevents things such as ghosting which happens during gaming and can affect your gaming experience. The display has very thin bezels and I am happy with the quality of the display.

The laptop weighs 2.3kg and has a battery life of around 5 hours which is pretty mighty for a gaming laptop. It comes with Windows preinstalled.

Overall a great laptop with a great price and one of the best RTX 2060 laptops.

3. Dell Gaming-G7 7590

Graphics Card: NVIDIA RTX 2060 Graphics
Storage: 512 GB SSD

Let's be brutally honest, Dell hasn't seen much success in the gaming industry. XPS laptops where good but they where expensive and had issues. That's when Dell aquired Alienware and that has changed the image Dell has with gaming laptops. The pairing with Alienware was a runaway success and Dell is attempting another run at making cheaper gaming laptops and it is working.

The Dell Gaming G7 laptop comes with a 9th generation Intel Core i7-9750H processor. This is the same processor which is seen in most of the gaming laptop at this price point. The processor has six cores making multi tasking a breeze. With a base speed of 2.60GHz and a maximum clock speed of 4.50GHz there are only a few applications that are able to push the laptop to its limits.

It has 16GB of DDR4 RAM which is plenty. You can open as many browser tabs as you want without thinking of any repercussions. Gaming is also excellent with this amount of RAM. For permanent storage, the laptop has a 512GB SSD. The SSD provides enough space, but some might find that to be a bit low. Most people prefer at least 1 TB of storage. There are additional ports so you can upgrade your storage later with an extra SSD.

The laptop has enough cooling vents to keep it cool during long hours of intensive gaming. Has multiple ports and enough ports for most of your gaming needs. It comes with Windows 10 pre-installed.

The display on the laptop is a 15.6" display which has high clarity. The display has anti glare coating to prevent light from the background to strike the screen and cause that glare to fall into your eyes.

The laptop features a full sized keyboard, complete with a numpad. The location of the trackpad is a bit towards the right so that it is easier to use while typing. The keyboard is backlit but a lack of RGB lighting is something we sorely miss in this laptop. Sort of gives a feel that this was created by someone who doesn't game and has managed to take the fun out of gaming, but it is particularly useful in professional settings.

Overall a nice laptop with nice performance which doesn't do much bragging.

4. Razer Blade 15

Processor: 10th Gen Intel Core i7-10750H processor

Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 Graphics
Storage: 512GB SSD
Display: 15.6" Full HD thin bezel display

This is a laptop I would recommend you to buy only if you're a fan of Razer. But then if you're not a fan, you'll soon become one. Razer laptops are at the pinacle of technology always pushing the envelope harder than before to get perfection. As you know, gaming laptops are huge and bulky and Razer attempts to create gaming laptop with the size of MacBooks and they're really successful at it.

If you look at the size of Razer Blade 15, you would say, there is no way you could hide an RTX 2060 in it, and yet they've done that along with a tenth generation Intel i7 processor, 16GB of RAM and a 512 GB SSD. Let's look at the specs in more details.

The laptop is powered by a tenth generation Intel Core i7-10750H. It is rare to find 10th generation processors in India and this laptop is actually being shipped from the US if you buy it from Amazon and I think one of the issues with buying a laptop like Razer in India would be the service. I am not sure how good it is. I own an Alienware laptop and the service of which is handled in India and it is a dream. The service is handled by Dell and they come to your house and fix it for you.

The processor has a base speed of 2.60GHz and a maximum clock speed of 5.00GHz. It has six cores and has two threads per core to give a thread count of 12. The processor is quiet brilliant and I think there will be rarely a circumstance where you will find your processor at peak performance and struggling for more.

It has 16GB of RAM which is common at this price range and I don't think you'll need more unless you do some heavy video editing. Video editing is the only place where I have seen the RAM usage shoot up drammatically. For all the other tasks including gaming, you don't need much RAM. For one thing, the graphics card itself comes with 6GB of VRAM.

For storage, the laptop has a 512GB SSD. I wouldn't complain about the lack of an HDD and more space because the aim of the laptop is to be as thin as possible and adding an HDD would add more size. SSDs are extremly small, occupying around one-fourth or even less than what an HDD will occupy.

The body of the laptop is made of CNC cut aluminium unibody. It packs amazing performance in thin sizes.

The display on the laptop is a 15.6" screen with a refresh rate of 144Hz. It has extremely thin bezels making it stunning to look at. One of the things I've felt is, if you love your laptop and the way it looks you will almost always be more productive.

The keyboard in the laptop is also comfortable to type on and each key is individually lit. This enables one to create custom colour schemes and patterns on the laptop. The keyboard is comfy to type on.

The laptop has WiFi6, Thunderbolt ports, USB Type-C ports, HDMI ports, Ethernet ports and every port you would need. Moreover, the memory and storage can be expanded if needed.

I love this laptop for a lot of right reasons including ultra portability which most of the gaming laptops cannot claim. This laptop has managed to pack the performance of the top of the line gaming laptops with the form factor of a small laptop.

5. Lenovo Legion Y740

Processor: 9th Generation Core Intel I7-9750H processor
RAM: 16GB DDR4 RAM
Graphics Card: NVIDIA RTX 2060 Graphics
Storage: 1 TB HDD
Display: 15.6-inch screen with (1920X1080) full HD display

The Lenovo Legion Y740 is a great laptop. Great performance, great value for money and a name that has been around for a long time that it inspires respect. You can think of the Legion Y740 as the upgraded version of the Y540.

The laptop is powered by the 9th generation Intel Core i7-9750H processor. The processor has a base speed of 2.6GHz and a maximum clock speed of 4.6GHz with turbo boost. Turbo boost is the technology by which Intel increases the speed of the processor by a bit for a short span of time to give more performance. This higher speed cannot be run for a long time since it will cause overheating.

The gaming performance on this laptop is great due to the combination of the RTX 2060 graphics card and i7 processor. The processor provides enough performance to make the game load faster.

The laptop comes with 16GB of DDR4 RAM. The RAM can be upgraded, but that is not necessary since 16GB should be enough for most of the needs. For storage the laptop comes with a 1TB SSD. The SSD provides extremely fast loading times. A study was conducted on the performance of HDD and SSD and it was found that the SSD performed almost 3 times faster than HDD. Windows booted in around 10 seconds on an SSD compared to 30 seconds on an HDD.

The display on the laptop is a 15.6" screen with a resolution of 1920x1080 which means it is a full HD display. It has anti-glare coating on the screen to prevent light from reflecting on the screen and onto your eye. The refresh rate of the display is 144Hz which is pretty high and helps in preventing ghosting. The bezels on the screen are thin and makes the laptop good to look at.

The keyboard on the laptop is RGB backlit. This means you can use it at night and have an awesome experience during gaming. The chassis on the laptop is made of Aluminium which means greater build quality and durability.

The laptop weighs 2.3kg which is normal for a gaming laptop. Lenovo claims a battery life of around 5 hours which should get you in hours of need. The laptop comes with a 1 year warranty for peace of mind.

Overall, this is a one of the best RTX 2060 laptops available today.
