Best Monitors under 5000 in India

Some days monitors are not just a luxury. I code a lot and at first, I used just the laptop's screen and I used to think, why would people use another screen. For one thing, the amount of space the mouse has to move around increases a lot, while all you have to do is press Alt + Tab. But now, I can't live without one.

I have compiled a list of my favorite monitors after going through a ton and these are the best monitors which you can buy under 5000 bucks.

Samsung is one of the known manufacturers of displays and they have created an almost perfect display with this model. The monitor is 47cm (18.5") wide diagonally. It has IPS display and is super slim.

The display has a resolution of 1366x768 making the viewing experience great. It also has a viewing angle of 178 degree which means that you can read the contents of the screen even at that angle. The display comes with a VGA port and if your laptop can connect only HDMI cables, you can easily get an adaptor for that.

The monitor comes with features such as Samsung MagicBright, Eye Saving Mode, and Flicker Free for better quality viewing and also to protect your eyes from all the harmful rays that might come from the display.

Overall this display is a great buy and we will strongly recommend you get one of this.

I am a big fan of Dell monitors and believe that they offer excellent value for money monitors. I couple my Alienware (which by the way is owned by Dell) with a Dell monitor, and it's extremely sweet.

The Dell E2016HV has 60Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 1600 x 900. Works perfectly for watching movies and stuff, though I would say the refresh rate is a bit on the lower side if you are considering gaming.

The laptop features VESA-mount compatibility and tilt options. This means you can mount your display on the wall and can tilt according to your needs.

The major con of this monitor is the lack of HDMI port.  It is pretty hard to live without an HDMI port nowadays. And you'll most probably want to get a VGA to HDMI cable.

The display comes with a 3 year warranty which means you can live with peace of mind. It also has energy saving methods to save power also and you can run the monitor on UPS.

Though the resolution of LG 19M38HB falls on the lower side when compared to Dell E2016HV, it compensates for that fact by having an HDMI port.

It has an inbuilt speaker, which is pretty decent. This can be used along with CCTV cameras. Most of the monitors in this price range miss out on HDMI port, so this would be a great buy if HDMI port is something that you necessarily want.

The laptop has a few features built in to protect your eyest. It has Flicker Safe technology, which reduces the flicker on the screen. The flicker causes strain on your eyes, and the monitor has features that remove the flicker. The display also has Reader Mode which protects your eyes from harmful blue light.

The display has OnScreen control technology which helps in controlling the display from the laptop itself without having to touch the monitor buttons. This gives an excellent ease of access to the display controls.

The display offers improved color vision so remove color weakness and increase the color vision.

The monitor is budget friendly and looks great on your desk. One of the greatest advantage of this monitor is the fact that it has an HDMI port. This helps in connecting all of the latest laptops to the monitor.

This is an LCD monitor, and viewing angles are decent.  The picture quality is decent. With a 1080p resolution, we feel this is a great buy. The 60Hz refresh rate will make the video very smooth to watch.

Great to binge watch Netflix and to edit documents. Great for coding as well due to the large space it provides.

Monitor buying guide

There is a series of things that need to be looked into while buying a monitor. So here is a list of things that you need to look into while buying a monitor.

Size

One of the first things that we need to look into is the size. The major reason why we get a monitor is to have a bigger screen, so we recommend a decently big size for the monitor.

At a budget of 5000, the best screen sizes are above 19". Anything below that might feel a bit too small when you're sitting an arms length from the monitor. The size is decent and with Full HD, you can see objects with high clarity on those screens.

Resolution

Resolution is the number of pixels horizontally by vertically. So if your monitor has a resolution of 1920x1080, that means that there are 1920 pixels horizontally and 1080 pixels vertically.

A decent resolution is 1920x1080. Anything below that, and you'll be able to see individual pixels on the screen if you move closer to the screen. This might hamper the viewing experience.
