7 Best Gaming Laptops under 150000 (1.5 lakh) in India 2022

To be honest RTX graphics cards were very expensive when everybody used them for mining. But then the manufacturers stepped in and did steps to prevent mining on graphics cards and brought their prices down. Now you can get an RTX 3070 laptop for under 1.5 lakhs which for me is a great deal.

If you are a computer genius, we have a couple of articles that you might like:
- Cheapest RTX 30 series laptops
- Best Nvidia RTX 3060 Laptops

These laptops help you play games such as GTA V, PUBG, Witcher and all the latest games with great graphics and extremely smoothly. I'm a big fan of Assassin's Creed so cheers to these laptops which let me play them on 4K.

Though a gaming laptop is almost entirely about specs, it also has to be one that cools efficiently and has a display that makes the best use of the graphics card in it. We can always get a gaming monitor to pair with the laptop, but let us keep that for another day. We have curated a list of the best monitors for gaming if you're interested.

At this range, we wouldn't recommend anything under an RTX 3070 laptop. These laptops are actually the creme de la creme of gaming for a laptop. RTX 3080 laptops are rarer and cost a fortune and we would strongly recommend going with RTX 3070 laptops.

We have built a laptop selector for you so that we can find the best laptop under 1.5 lakh specifically for your needs. Check it out below.

So here's the list of the best gaming laptops under 150000:

1. ASUS TUF Dash F15

One of the best RTX laptops in the market today

Processor: Intel i7-11370H 11th Gen
RAM: 16 GB DDR4
Graphics Card: RTX 3070-8GB
Storage: 1TB SSD
Display: 15.6-inch screen with (1920X1080)

Buy from Amazon

When I bought my first laptop (Alienware 15 R3 - GTX 1070), laptops with these high specs was around 2 lakh or even north of that. But to see an RTX 3070 laptop to cost under 1.5 lakhs (around 1.34 lakhs at the time of writing) is just mindblowing. This alone would make me want to buy the laptop badly.

One of the things manufacturers do to reduce price is to go with AMD processors rather than with Intel processors, but ASUS has done no such thing and has yet managed to keep the price low.

The laptop features a very slim chassis that makes it very portable. The weight of the laptop is also very less making it easy to carry around.

Though the laptop is thin (19.9mm), it has been through rigorous MIL-STD durability standards, to make sure that it can take all of your daily knocks and bumps.

The laptop is powered by an Intel i7-11th generation processor and comes with 16GB of RAM. This is enough to handle all of the todays' games at max specs. The RTX graphics cards can even play ultra settings in a 4K display showing how much technology progresses in a short span of time.

Oh, and the display is a sweet 240 Hz display with a response time of just 3ms. These response times and refresh rates were only seen in desktop monitors earlier and this laptop is just an absolute beast of a machine, perfect for any gamer.

2. Acer Predator Helios 300

Processor: Gen Intel Core i7-11800H
RAM: 16 GB DDR4
Graphics Card: RTX 3070-8GB
Storage: 1TB SSD
Display: 15.6-inch screen with (1920X1080)

Before I last updated this article, this laptop was at the bottom of the list. Acer has managed to update its specs and bring down its price so much that it deserves to be higher.

Usually, I start by stating about the graphics card or the processor of the laptop. But then when the laptop has a 300Hz refresh rate for its display, then everything changes. This is because, monitors rarely have refresh rates that high.

What it means for you as a user is a better gaming experience since you'll be able to see your enemy a bit faster than the rest of the gang.

At the time of writing this article, this laptop cost a tad under 1.5 lakhs and getting an i7 processor (11th generation) and an RTX 3070 graphics card is a steal.

The laptop looks really good and will grab attention for you wherever you go. This can be both good and bad, since you'll look crazy handling this laptop at the airport. I have an Alienware and one time I took it out at the airport and got some nasty stares. I mean most of the people use MacBooks, they are sane and looks professional.

But a gaming laptop like this will scream attention to yourself.

Great cooling performance is offered to us. This is due to the thermal paste used in the laptop is liquid metal. Rarely do stock manufacturers offer laptops with metallic thermal paste in laptops.

Per-key RGB adds to the aesthetics of the laptop and overall this is a great laptop at a great price point and deserves the spot it occupies on this list.

2. Lenovo Legion 5

Lenovo Legion 5

Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 5800H processor
RAM: 16 GB DDR4
Graphics Card: RTX 3060-6GB or RTX 3070-8GB
Storage: 1TB SSD
Display: 15.6-inch screen with (1920X1080)

Let's be honest you're not going to upgrade your laptop any time soon and we want you to have the most powerful laptops at a bit higher price.

You can go for this laptop without any second thoughts. Powered by an RTX 3060 laptop, there is nothing this laptop cannot handle. If you have more money lying around in your pocket or is someone who rarely upgrades their laptop, then we would recommend you shell out 15k more and get the one with the RTX 3070 graphics card. At the time of writing this article, the laptop cost around 15k more than the 3060 version.

Lenovo laptops are sturdy and work great for long hours. We found the thermals to be perfect for usage for long hours. The laptop weighs around 2.5kg and is easy to carry around.

The display on the laptop is a 15.6-inch display. Most of the laptops today are of this dimension and strikes the perfect balance between having enough space to game on and giving enough portability so you can take it to your next LAN party.

The laptop comes with a 6GB graphics card and you can play most, if not all of the games in Ultra settings.

The laptop supports Windows 11, unlike most laptops which don't officially support Windows 11 but has to do some workaround to install it. The processor is also powerful so that you can do all your daily tasks such as excel sheets and stuff without too much worry.

3. Asus Rog Strix G15 G513QM

Processor: AMD R7-5800H processor

Powered by an RTX 3060 we haven't got much to complain about this laptop. The graphics card is one of the latest offerings from Nvidia and has enough power to play all the latest titles. The laptop features an AMD Ryzen 7 5800H processor. AMD has recently got a lot of good reviews and has started making better processors than Intel. Alienware which used to have just Intel-powered laptops now has a dedicated Ryzen series of laptops.

The laptop comes with 16GB of DDR4 memory which should give you enough and more juice for gaming. It should be enough for video editing and other memory-intensive tasks too. For storage, the laptop has a 1TB SSD which is also enough for most purposes. The keyboard on the laptop is an RGB backlit 4 zone keyboard. The laptop looks amazing with its RGB lighting.

The trackpad on the laptop has a special feature where it can also work as a Numpad.  This is a very neat feature if you crunch a lot of numbers in your day-to-day life. All these and it is hard to not make this the best laptop under 1.5 lakh.

4. Dell G5 15

Processor: i7-10750H processor
RAM: 16GB DDR4 RAM
Graphics Card: NVIDIA RTX 2070 Graphics
Storage: 1 TB SSD

The G5 is powered by a 10th generation Intel Core i7 processor. To keep things easier, we have a guide on how a processor works and which processor is the best for your needs: a CPU buying guide. The exact processor that is powering the laptop is 10750H. The 10 in the 10750 stands for the generation. The processor is a hex-core processor with two threads per processor taking the thread count to a whopping 12.

But for us gamers, what matters most is the graphics card that comes along with the laptop. The Dell G5 features an Nvidia GeForce RTX2070 graphics card. The laptop has 16 GB of DDR4 RAM (2x8GB). This can be upgraded and RAM sticks these days are pretty cheap. If you want to upgrade to 32GB, you can check out our article on the best RAM sticks available in the market today.

Dell hasn't cheaped out when it comes to storage and features a 1TB SSD. The SSD in the laptop is fast enough to give boot times of under 10 seconds. The display on the laptop is a 15.6" Full HD display. Overall we feel that this laptop is the winner and easily surpasses the Lenovo Legion Y740 which was our top choice till last month making it one of the best gaming laptops under 1.5 lakh.

5. Lenovo Legion Y740

Processor: 9th Generation Core Intel I7-9750H processor
RAM: 16GB DDR4 RAM
Graphics Card: NVIDIA RTX 2070 Graphics
Storage: 1 TB SSD
Display: 15.6-inch screen with (1920X1080) full HD display

With the release of RTX 30 series graphics cards, the prices of gaming laptops have come down. And Lenovo Legion is one of the first laptops to offer an RTX 2070 graphics card at under 1.5 lakhs. The laptop is powered by a 9th generation Intel Core i7-9750H processor. The processor offers excellent performance and is a hex-core processor. The laptop as we mentioned has an RTX 2070 graphics card. The graphics card is powerful and can play all the latest titles at Ultra settings.

The laptop comes with 16GB of DDR4 RAM which helps in gaming and is enough for gaming use. For storage, the laptop has a 1TB SSD. The SSD gives high performance when the laptop is booting and for gaming. SSDs give more than 3x the speed of traditional HDDs and the performance is visible during loading of games and using booting.

The laptop weighs 2.2kg and is portable. It comes with a 1-year onsite domestic warranty which should give you enough peace of mind. Overall this is the best value for money performance laptop that's available in the market today.

The Lenovo Legion Y740 features a 9th gen i7 (9750H) processor with a base speed of 2.6GHz and goes up to 4.5GHz. The Lenovo Legion has almost the same specs of the Asus, but a few 10K less.  It also has 16GB RAM and a 1TB SSD. The screen has a refresh rate of 144Hz. The screen paired with the RTX 2060, would make your gaming sessions memorable.

We loved the fact that Lenovo has decided to go with a 1TB SSD instead of traditional drives since this increases the overall speed of the laptop tremendously. We are huge fans of SSDs as they decrease the times taken for games to load as well. The cheapness of the laptop seeps into the build of the laptop. Lighting is not customizable, but just white. There is always a price for vanity.

Conclusion

New RTX 30 series laptops have been released and is something to look forward to. They will definitely offer great value for money. But then they're going to be relatively more expensive. The release of new graphics cards means that the graphics card with the RTX 20 series will get cheaper by a margin.
